The Bed and Breakfast
The Equestrian Bed & Breakfast
The beautiful two story plantation-style house features upper and lower verandas, complementing its classic Southern appearance. This large house was designed to accommodate guests in a gracious manner and in luxurious style. Stepping into the entrance, one travels back in time when walking from the brick veranda, complete with white rocking chairs, into the spacious entrance hall. The elegant dining room is on the left, and library on the right. Ahead one finds the spacious Great Room with vaulted ceiling and windowed wall, where one can relax and enjoy the unsurpassed view of the mountains and countryside. Breakfast is served in the dining room, or, weather permitting, on the screened porch or deck, both of which overlook the Blue Ridge Mountains and intervening valleys for a spectacular view.

The Reading and Relaxing Areas

The Barn and Arena
The new Barn at Lantern Lane Farm
The Arena
Lantern Lane Farm offers its equine guests a spacious new center-aisle barn. Stalls are a generous 12' x 12' in size. The barn has a heated restroom, laundry room, and tack room. The large tack room has a sink and counter space to facilitate cleaning.
The wide center aisle allows horses to be tacked indoors. Horses are turned out several hours each day except in the most severe and inclement weather.
The fully fenced dressage and training arena features all-weather footing, and is a standard 30 x 60 meters in size. It easily accommodates dressage and jumping activities. It is also an ideal place for beginners who want to take horseback riding lessons. Students are permitted outside of the Arena when they have gained adequate experience.

Smoking and Pets
It is important for our guests to understand that Lantern Lane Farm offers a smoke free environment, so there is no smoking in the house, barn, deck, or porch areas. We welcome people who smoke as long as they are comfortable with this policy. A designated smoking area will be provided.
It is also important for our guests to realize that we are a working horse farm with live animals. Although the cats and the dogs are kept out of the guests' bedrooms, they do have the privilege of being in the house.
